Does anyone have a complete list of post-Brent shows with only Vince? I realize 92-95 was pretty much all Vince-only, but I know there are others. Richfield 9/90 and Oakland 02/91, for example. Any others from 91?

Many thanks.

I was thinking the same thing the other night. I've been going thru my Deadbase and haven't found it yet. I also have the yearbooks that they published every year and they might have that stat. I'll check them and see!

I've got 2/20/91 on right now. Not missing the accordion much on Masterpiece.

Hornsby opened up for the 87 Laguna Seca shows but I dont think he played with them. That 88 Buckeye show has some nasty accordian. I saw those two 89 RFK shows. Cant say I dug the accordian on those - especially on Sugaree - it takes away from the Jerry wail-fest!

Not only does it detract from Jerry's parts, it also fills up the empty space that was so much a part of the way the band interacted.

On the flip side, Bruce's stuff was great too, so I certainly don't mind getting some Bruce in there. Many times he filled in... he did do some toe stepping... but it just added, in general, yet another dimension to this multi-dimensional music that we love so much.

Yeah, I don't mean to beat up on Bruce too much. I like his contributions in some cases. It's not so much about him as it is about having two keyboard players.

I can see that... which is why sometimes I like him on accordian... it was hard... two drummers can meld together much more easily...

its almost like having 2 lead or 2 rhythm guitarists...

Bruce did sit in on accordion 7/12/89 for the set 2 opening Sugaree, and Women Are Smarter. He played on Tennessee Jed, and Memphis Blues the next night. again on accordion. This was also my first show.
Bruce Hornsby and The Range opened for both shows.
