The only reason for best AUD is that it is complete

A decent audience recording for 1970. This is a remaster of the other complete show audience source. Some tapes wobble, but not much. Sound quality is "so-so". The acoustic set sounds much better than the electric.
On the plus side, it contains a wonderful Box Of Rain, the first known live performance of the song.

Harsh sounding with lots of hiss.

Marty Weinberg recording. Partial set. Dark Star>St Stephen>Good Lovin'
This is better than the other Jack Toner recording, but not by much.

I would call these "completetist only" recordings.

Set 1 GD Acoustic Set: Truckin', Black Peter*

Set 2 GD Electric Set: Casey Jones, Sugar Magnolia, Candyman, Cryptical Envelopment > Drums > The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment > Brokedown Palace, It's A Man's Man's World, Till The Morning Comes%, Me & My Uncle, Operator, Dancin' In The Street, St. Stephen > Not Fade Away > Good Lovin' Encore: We Bid You Goodnight

Notes Set 1 is complete. During Black Peter Jerry ends the set before finishing the song probably because of technical problems with the sound.
Jimi Hendrix died this day.

This audience source is better than the previous night taped by the same taper, Jack Toner. This source has been remastered from the

Notes SBD portion is only Set 1 and Me & My Uncle to the end.

This is an excellent show and all of the SBD sources are very good. There is a small tape glitch during Dancing In The Streets on all versions.

The only one, and what a Matrix! This sounds excellent. There is just enough of the audience tape to give the "live" ambiance.

The only one. Poor sound. For "completists" only.

Notes
The SBD portion only circulates from Sugar Magnolia through the end. The Sugar Magnolia has tape glitches and is inferior to the rest of the set. For the rest of the set the sound quality is of the highest quality as is the performance. The Dark Star should easily be considered as one of the greatest ever played, as is tthe remainder of the set. The SBD portion of this show is one of those recordings where the quality of performance and the quality of recording combine to make for a listening experience only rarely equaled. I suggest getting a copy that contains the sound of the Fillmore East crowd refusing to leave as a recording of the Youngbloods song "Let's Get Together" plays on the PA. Phil & Pigpen emerge to tell everyone there will be no encore and that they should "go home & f*ck somebody"! The Youngbloods song continues to its end and you can still hear someone calling out for "Casey Jones". Classic!

Notes Great acoustic set. Lots of hiss and reel glitches but the quality of the show make this worth your time.

OK, so Mr. Skydawg is another to bite off more than he could chew.
He was given a chance to reply, and ignored it.

He finished "Fall 70" at 9/20/70, which is, incidentally, not even the fall yet. That is fine. We appreciate his effort, and take note, and hope some other head will follow in his stead.

Thanks for the contribution. Enjoy!
