Bellarmine College (Louisville, KY) on 1968-12-07

Set 1: Dark Star > Saint Stephen > The Eleven, Death Don't Have No Mercy, Cryptical Envelopment > Drums > The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment > Jam > New Potato Caboose

Set 2: Rosemary, He Was A Friend Of Mine, It Hurts Me Too, Morning Dew > And We Bid You Good Night

The only known live performance of Rosemary was played at this show. If for no other reason this show is worth checking out just to hear this bona fide rarity.

Thanks for this info, SkyDawg! Cool

Best SBD: of the three available at archive.org:

Comments: Transfers done by Charlie Miller. Sound is very good, not excellent; instrument balance is good, high end is slightly muted (cymbals not crisp and clear). On the basis of overall clarity and audio image this is the one to get.

Best Matrix: (none available at archive.org at this time)

Best AUD: (none available at archive.org at this time)

The Matrix (San Francisco) on 1968-12-16
Exclamation Listed incorrectly by archive.org.
This is NOT a Grateful Dead show. It is billed as "Mickey and the Hartbeats" and the personnel is Jerry Garcia, Jack Casady, Mickey Hart and Spencer Dryden (no rhythm guitar).

Set 1: Jam

Set 2: Jam > Jam
(quite the set list!)

Best SBD: (the only one available at archive.org):

Comments: Transfers done by Charlie Miller and neo_levo. Sound is excellent quality stereo. This is the only version at archive.org.

Other SBD Versions: (none available at archive.org at this time):

Best Matrix: (none available at archive.org at this time)

Best AUD: (none available at archive.org at this time)

Shrine Exhibition Hall - Los Angeles, CA on 1968-12-20

Set List: The Eleven, Mountains of the Moon, Turn On Your Lovelight

Comments: This is not a complete show. The beginning of The Eleven is missing. Sound quality is poor to fair. The soundboard source tape is flawed; Tom Constanten's organ and Bob Weir's rhythm guitar are so far down in the mix as to be virtually inaudible. The drums are also muted.

Charlie Miller's remaster is a noticeable improvement over the original source tape (the other SBD version). Mountains of the Moon sounds like a solo Garcia performance on the original tape, but you can hear Constanten and Weir in the background on the Miller remaster. This performance of Mountains of the Moon is of historic interest because it is not preceded by Dupree's Diamond Blues or followed by Dark Star. Better overall instrument balance on the last part of Turn On Your Lovelight. This is the one to get.

Reviews of 12/21 and 12/29 will follow as I have time to get to them.

OK, outreach has apparently bailed on his project.
Would anyone else like to take up the slack? There are two shows left to do...

(the last one is has cuts through out the show)

No Aud Available
No Matrix Available

Source: SBD -> Cassette Master -> Dat -> CD
Lineage: CD -> Samplitude Professional v8.01 -> FLAC

Alright that sort of wraps up 12/68. There is a comp labeled 12/31/68 which looks like a bunch of unlabeled stuff. There is even a dispute over song names on those. I might get to it to finish up "12/68", but as it looks at the moment it is actually finished with this 12/29 show.
