#5 7/10/1989 Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
#4 4/22/1983 Veterans Memorial Coliseum, New Haven, CT
#3 10/27/1979 Cape Cod Coliseum, South Yarmouth, MA
#2 5/2/1987 Frost Ampitheatre, Stanford U., Palo Alto, CA
#1 8/19/1980 Uptown Theatre, Chicago, IL

Ah, the finish line. Well, I stand by my #1 horse with the Uptown show, and in fact if I had to pick a weak link in this group from a personal edification standpoint, it may be the Cape Cod. This is only because Cod is the least-consistent in terms of start-to-finish brilliance. But while it may have the weakest post-Space of the group, it also may boast the strongest pre-Drumz effort - and certainly it is a well-known and well-liked show. Morning Dew makes 2 splashes in the top 5 with #s 5 and 2, and #4 has definitely become one of my top "go-to" shows. Probably due to lack of a SBD, this New Haven show really flies under-the-radar, and is what I would call a hidden gem. #1 also is to some extent, due to imperfect audio. Anyway whether it's hidden or not, Uptown is definitely a Brent Era diamond.

That 7/10/89 includes the best Watchtower that I've heard of... solid show all around.

Cape Cod 79, can wholeheartedly agree with the pre-drums assessment.

8/19/80, I can't recall if I've heard, but I don't think I have... Despite the 2nd set opener being Rooster, I am excited to hear this one soon.

It's new to me, which makes this pretty exciting. I just listened to set one up through Althea. In two words (but eight syllables): relentlessly spectacular. What a treat to have wailing Minglewood performing "anchor" duties in the opening trifecta. Very nice.

UPDATE: the space after Eyes just blew my mind. Again I have to ask myself: how is it possible that I've never listened to this show before? Rolling Eyes
