Gimme Some Lovin' comes out with the requisite strong intro organ and bass line. They poke around at the end and go straight into Half-Step. Jerry means business in his soloing, After minor plunking they move into Minglewood where Jerry's feeling it as he and Phil crush the intro. Bird song cuts through the clouds at a break-wing pace that never gives. China Cat>Rider roars from the start, and a great segue finds the X at the intro into Rider before the verse. More X at Northbound Train! Set highlight.

Don't follow the order the show is presented in, the double encore is placed before the 2nd set!

Bucket doesn't apply any break to open the 2nd. Bob, Brent, Jerry and Phil tear the doors off for more X. Crazy Fingers has a strange intro to the outro jam which is executed to great effect. Nice segue into PITB with a good tempo. The jam defines the idea of a power slot jam. Jerry varies between sustained notes and lightning noodles. A soothing China Doll features a stellar segue back to the PITB Reprise before a Jerry-less jam that explores before collapsing into a solid Drums/Space with an Olin Arageed (spelling?).

The unfinished PITB Reprise comes out of the psychedelic session. A quick hint of Throwing Stones before Wharf Rat with a nice solo, but lacking a major crash down. Throwing Stones is a bit rushed with a cut that takes us into the jam. Jerry lays down some true love in NFA.

Double encore of US Blues and She Belongs to Me finishes up nicely. Blues is a full blown rockfest, whereas She Belongs is a nice send off to the night... lest there be reckless behavior after the show.

Performance Summary
First set brims with energy, with Phil and Jerry being the all-stars. Pre-drums is without a weakness, as PITB>China Doll takes us to drums. Post-Space is sufficient, while not the best ever. The double encore send off is a bonus.
Sound Quality
A+, I turned Phil down on the EQ, resorting to the common Lazy Left-side W formation (lows lower than mids or highs). Brent is a little low in the mix, I offer no fix.
