The Promised Land irons out the initial sound issues fairly quickly with a solid Garcia effort.
Brown Eyed Women was good to go.
Me And Bobby McGee, Garcia does some great psychedelic twanginess behind Bobby's vox.
Scarlet Begonias comes out of an extended tuning break with a quick pace. Great little jam in there.
Mexicali Blues is a fun little ditty.
It Must Have Been The Roses is actually a bit faster at first than I would like, oddly. It slows down though, and finds a good tempo for the macabre tune.
Me And My Uncle is not the hottest part of the show hahaha, but it's fine. Wish Garcia had been more active.
Tennessee Jed features some great teamwork in the jam section, totally synch, bluesy, definitely hits X factor territory.
Greatest Story Ever Told great guitar, but jeez Donna and Bob are clearly a little too amped up by the end, spit screaming into their mics.
China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider was great! In this period, I tend to like the China Cat portion better because the Riders seem to lose some steam, and the China Cat is trippier.
Around And Around rounds out the set with a nice Berry closer.
U.S. Blues comes out wailing, no loss during the intermission.
Big River full blown version, A+. Jerry just pushes through.
Ship Of Fools features funeral home Keith, but he's too low for much of the song.
Playing In The Band -> goes out with style, nice tempo, with Billy putting forth his all. Jerry noodles around nicely, weaving his tapestry. Shortly after the 14 minute mark we get some Tiger, which then gets unusual, with someone, I can't tell who, making zoo animal noises. The Tiger grows and goes full bore! You can hear it screaming while the rest of the band is peaking too... utter, beautiful chaos. Holy crap! I swear there is a trumpet out there, but there isn't! It's just a feedback effect. The post tiger section features a nice rhythm, slowed down, but allowing Jerry to venture about. Solid as hell PITB jam here, fully exploratory without getting into space.
Wharf Rat -> comes out of the adventure, and is quite somber, letting your brain cells regroup. Powerful Get Up and Fly Away sequence. The True to Me portion flies gracefully into some X factor as well!
Playing In The Band is segued right back into seemlessly.
Eyes Of The World hits the spot, great tempo, Jerry out in front, and solid structured jams verging on exploration. The jam before the final verse features Jerry taking places with Phil in soloing.
Casey Jones ->
One More Saturday Night
