I love acoustic music in general (I have just discovered the beauties of bluegrass through your and Garcia's help ...) but listening to Garcia's acoustic works is a special delight for my soul. Each phase has its beauties regardles of the fact if it is a solo/due/band/side project.
I love literally all his acoustic projects and the choice of listening depends pretty much with the "feeling I have" that day.

The choices are related to the Garcia solo related projects so the GD acoustic issue is not part of the choices ... I love them but I wanted to make this a specific Garcia thread.

Most of the time I go to the Garcia/Kahn shows ... this was my choice ... as per a general rule, with lots LOTS of exeptions

I'd go with the Garcia/Saunders combo, specifically during the Legion Of Mary years (74-75). The two of them had been playing together long enough to know where the other would be and, with Martin Fiero on horns, they were just fan-fucking-tastic!

Easily Old & In The Way. They paved the way for me getting into bluegrass music
