I love this site. Entertainingly puerile prose, but he brings to light some fairly interesting people in the historical record. This week's find is great:

I read that one, he was awesome.
The 1st Battalion of the 508th was in Italy as part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade when I was in. They had a very distinguished history.

Not to sully Funk's achievement with an unworthy comparison, but his Medal of Honor moment makes me think of River (Summer Glau) kicking Reaver ass in Serenity

This guy gets my vote. Don't know if he's stupid or a badass but it sure took some large ones to pull it off.

I think the vigilante in Boston beats this...
Though this guy is definitely testing the boundaries of the bravery vs idiocy argument!

I tell you, I wouldn't have done it. I like to pretend sharks don't exist when I go to the beach... but part of me knows my dog would make a great snack for one.

Probably a huge Coast Guard Cutter not pictured...

Apparently she was killed by sharks in a bizarre filming accident.

She taught him everything she knew, but he failed to comprehend how insane she was.

If I had to choose, I think I'd take my chances with the sharks!

Cool list, but I'd like to make my own one-man-rampage on Cracked.com for so blatantly ripping off Badass of the Week.

It's funny, because if you make that picture bigger and bigger, it looks less and less innocent!
