These Dark Stars get haggled over so much, I thought they should have their own thread.

Cleveland is actually one of my favorites, I find it very meditative and engaging. While I like Rotterdam, I'm not 100% sure I wouldn't like it better if it were 20 minutes shorter. However, I don't get bored with Cleveland, although I have to be in the right frame of mind--usually taking a walk at night with headphones on.

Also, although I think 12-06-73 is one of the best, it's for convinced DS freaks only--no beginners, I would imagine (this does NOT imply that the people here who don't like it are beginners or don't know their Dark Star shit, of course).

Not very related but in the space of DS heard 6-24-73 recently, any thoughts?

I am not a fan of either of the two DS's from this original post... I really don't get it beyond getting that it takes different strokes...

That one's kind of quick and jazzy until after the verse, isn't it? I should probably listen again, my memory is vague.
