I am interested in finding all of the Pigpen raps that are out there. Good Lovin and Lovelight are both excellent and rather popular launch pads for him. I am listening to 4-17-71 right now. The Good Lovin' has an amazing "Brooklyn Bridge" rap in it. I suggest this one to anyone that likes a fun Pig rap.

These Pigpen raps are about the most boring things about the Grateful Dead if you ask me. I never really got it... how many times did he go see the gypsy woman?

Ya gotta love that Pigpen/Janis rap from 6-7-69, brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart

Very raunchy indeed!

although he says this many times in many many versions of the song but i cant help but crack a huge smile when he goes on "i just-a-got-ta-reach over...my left shoulder...tap my baby, i say Turn on Over"

Wink

I love the way he can make the GD twist and turn on his whim. Can't remember the date (69?) but he almost forces Mickey to sing at one show. Love it when he ends with a "..play that guitar..." instruction for Jerry!

4-10-71 Pigpen has a fun rap during Good Lovin' where he encourages everyone to touch each other. He also says, "hey baby lets fuck" while he is rappin about his old lady.
