OK man, was either taking this in for the first or second time today... I don't even know...

Band Grateful Dead
Venue Greensboro Coliseum
Location Greensboro, NC
Date 4/1/91 - Monday posters tickets, passes & laminates
One Jack Straw ; Peggy-O ; It's All Over Now ; Candyman ; Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues ; Picasso Moon ; Bird Song
Two China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Looks Like Rain ; Dark Star [22:37] > Drums [8:20] > Space [9:46] > Dark Star [1:16] > Playing In The Band [3:28] > Black Peter ; Turn On Your Lovelight
Encore It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

OK, so, highlights... great Candyman with full watery tone going, nice Picasso... the Bird Song was one of the BEST I have ever heard, it gets pretty damn intense.
Second set gives us a pumped up by Hanz und Franz China>Rider, the Dark Star is lengthy for the era, and what comes out of Space, though shorter is more intense as it leads into a good PITB reprise. The Peter doesn't disappoint.
The encore is actually a highlight, as a contender for best ever Baby Blue

I recommend this show... Vince is doing a great background tone because Bruce is the star on the boards, Jerry is HOT.

What I find amazing is that only 4 views have occured on this, including my initial one, and this subsequent one, since I posted this.

No one wants to give this show a shot? It has some great stuff too it...

I like the post-Space portion of this show a lot.

The night before was no slouch either. A very good couple of shows. The Playin Reprise completes the 3/31 Playin. I could do without the LLR, but the Dark Star more than makes up for it. Greensboro was a fun town to see the boys in and they put on good shows there for the most part.

I think this is an excellent show from a strong spring 1991 tour. Every stop had at least one or two solid shows. This is a good Dark Star that gets spacey but doesn't really slow down. Playin reprise delivers, entire band comes alive after an awkward pause so tight that it sounds scripted. Agree too that this is a wonderful Candyman and one of those big 91 Bird Songs. A fine jam out of Peter. Bobby gets a little too crazy with the vocal delay on LLR, but otherwise a pretty flawless second set.

A great Bruce show. Highly recommended.

Listening to this now. I have been impressed with it so far. I am out of my "comfort zone" leaving 79-84. Overall, I have enjoyed this. Bird Song was one of those songs that came up out of nowhere that ended on such a high note.

This is a fun "little" Dark Star. Very nice indeed.
