I love the show:

Warren Haynes
Belly Up
Aspen, CO
09.03.07

From Mule Tracks:
Madman Across The Water was the first song at Warren's solo show at The Belly Up and set the groundwork for an unbelievable evening. Patchwork Quilt (here You have the story how Warren was inspired to write it when he heared about Jerry's passing the way) was followed the story of it's inception which in turn was followed by a beautiful cover of Wild Horses. Other surprises would be glorious renditions of Forevermore, To Lay Me Down and Everyday Is A Holiday. After a quick and humorous bluegrass style tease of War Pigs, The set ending combo was deemed to be That's Why I'm Here Intro-> Soulshine. The first of two encores began with So Weak, So Strong and Old Friend and the second encore consisted of It Hurts Me Too, The Sky Is Crying and a soaring version of Hallelujah to close out the night.

I have seen Warren solo 3 times. The first time was in a parking lot before an Allman Brothers concert. This was also the first tiem I ate mushrooms. After he played 3-6 songs he was signing autographs. I stood in line waiting for him to sign my ticket stub. Well during this period, my surroundings became very distorted. The world began to melt in front of me, as I stood in this line. I finally got to the front of the line and there sat Warren. I handed him my ticket stub and all I could say was "Thanks for Valentines Day" (I saw Govt Mule play in Athens, GA for Valentines that year). I am sure my eyes were huge and he just sort of laughed at me.

The other 2 times I saw him solo he opened for The Dead in 2004. I am pretty sure Dave Schools sat in with him in Atlanta.

Very Happy

Thanks for the story.

The thing is that I enjoy his solo /acoustic performances more. He is a excellent guitar played for electric band (favourite song Mother earth) but after a 7 - 9 shows I have listened it is kinda repeating its self. I mean I can't just "hear" real diversity between the same songs in different shows.
