A small milestone, and I was randomly thinking about this nice little anecdote about Owsley's tape recorder. I read this in a review of the Gram Parsons live disc from 4/5/69 at the Avalon (opening for the GD, and therefore taped by Owsley) from Other Music, a NYC institution. From

Yeah, that is a good one, one of my friends in town has that one. The sound quality and performance is probably the best out of any Parsons or FBB live recordings out there that I have heard.
