This show is waaay to hot to not have a thread…This one of those that if you know it, you most likely really know it due to multiple listens. This is amongst the very, very best of ’69, which is saying a lot…The recording has issues, but by no means is it poor. I think for me the show really takes off with China>Rider>High Time. This is one show that personifies the furious nature of the primal jamming the band became famous for…The charisma is captured well in this recording in which you can hear the crowd, but not to loudly. You can definitely tell the boys were feeding off them. This also has great Pigpen banter between Hard to Handle and Mason’s. This show is famous for probably the best Mason’s out there, but I think the whole show is out of control. This one is hot, real hot…

excellent Mason's indeed! not sure if it's the best because I have never listened to all 18 back to back.. but I know it's up there near the top.

12/28 is loud & rowdy for sure, with some fun pleas to the crowd. The cut in Good Lovin' is brutal.
The next night, 12/29 in Boston, is also a very hot show, with much more jamming. I think the 12/29 Mason's is even better - actually I prefer this show overall...
