12-12-93 San Diego Sports Arena, San Diego, Ca. (Sun)
1: Cold Rain, Minglewood, FOTD, B. T. Wind, Althea, BIODTL, Bird Song> Promised
2: Shakedown, Samson, Ship Of Fools, Truckin> Nobody's Fault> TWBS> Drumz> Wheel> Watchtower> Stella Blue> Around E: IFTL
last "Nobody's Fault": 09-22-91 [144]

I know Mr Swamaramadingdang (had to) is a big fan of 12/19 (which he attended), I submit that this is a much better show actually...
There is not a weak moment in it, AND, Jerry has his singing voice the whole time (unlike the 19th).

From the Cold Rain and Snow you can tell this show is going to be a good one, and it never let's down.
The Shakedown to start the 2nd set is probably the best of the year (admittedly not the best year for Shakedown though). We get the breakout of Nobody's Fault which was a nice touch as well out of the fantastic Truckin' jam explosion.
Jerry brings the heat in the Watchtower, harkening back to the days of yore (89 watchtowers), and this goes into a fabulous Stella.
IFTL is the encore, and to me this often signifies a show they were having fun with, because that is what this song is about... fun.

Great show, the next night is good as well, but I give the nod to this night as the champion of December 1993, which is a solid, solid month.

Hey kochman, thanks for this recommendation. It is a great show that I probably wouldn't have given a chance...

Wait, no one has given it a chance yet. Nice.

Responding to your own post is a serious cry for attention. Razz
I'll check this one out if you respond to, or give a listen to 12/30/82, which I posted about in the "what show did you listen to" thread. No one responded to that and I felt sad. Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes

Ok, deal!
At the end, we can always send each other PMs about how people are ignoring us and send pictures to each other of ourselves crying.

At least this thread has more views than my Woody Guthrie Folksay 78 rips on FLAC in the free music section. Laughing

Well, let me reiterate... great show... not without hiccups...
CR&S and Minglewood in the first two slots are as good as it gets.
Althea is awesome, and a frantic P Land to end the first.

2nd set is solid through pre-drums... in space now (with LP crowd)... awesome stuff....

This was a cool show last night at the LP. I even like FOTD, which is rare for the late-period version. The entire Truckin through drums segment was really cool too.

for me the highlights are the opening two songs, althea, stella blue, nobody's fault and shakedown but the whole show is pretty great.
