03-10-93 Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, Il. (Wed)
1: Stranger, Stagger Lee, Same Thing, Peggy-O, Queen Jane, Ramble On, Let It Grow
2: Eyes> Way To Go, Lazy River Road, Corinna> Mind Left Body Jam> Drumz> Wheel> Watchtower> SOTM> NFA E: Baby Blue

final "Mind Left Body Jam" - sound check: Lazy River Road, Wave To The Wind, Days Between

Great show here, many of you have probably heard about it due to the last official "MLB Jam".

Stranger to open is sweet, there is some sloppiness here (Bobby)... The rest of the set is satisfying in that 1993 way, nice Jerry, Vince is great when he isn't going over the top... Let It Grow was very fulfilling, though again, Bobby was sloppy as hell, blowing some lyrics (which is unusual for a LIG).

2nd set is pretty cool too. Eyes into WTGH, but don't despair, this is before they played it out and Jerry was still very into it. LRR (not Little Red Rooster folks) was well done... then we get a powerful Corrina, solid from the blazing intro all the way through to the jamming at the end, where one's mind leaves one's body. Watchtower... can Jerry pull it off like he should in 1993? Hell yeah! He blazes right through this one and then finishes us off with a great SOTM. Baby Blue in the encore slot is just what the doctor ordered, and I was one happy camper that I revisited this show...

If you want to hear some 90s... try this one out. Not the best of the year, but definitely in the same room as the best.

I've listened to this and the other night from this run where Ken Nordine does the "flibbertyjib" during space. Some good stuff here. Does this show have a really good Ramble On, or am I thinking of another 93 show?

You know... it didn't really stick out to me too much... then again, not a song I really like.

I'll give it a listen. I know I've heard parts of it before, as these Rosemont shows are pretty well regarded. Set list looks good, though I worry a bit about that pre-drums. First set looks great on paper.

Wrote a review at LMA after listening. Great show!

4 stars - "Even with that ugly looking pre-drums, this is a good show for any era. Hot first set is anchored by a sweet Peggy-o, and a hot Ramble on, but all songs hit the mark. Second set is great from Lazy River on.. Corrina, never one of my favorites, is great! with a really impressive MLB jam, and a pretty engaging drums/space. I'm surprised how strong this show is. Great 93 Dead."

And a nice Baby Blue to send you off... Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, a great Ramble on Rose and a great Peggy in the first. The Corrina>MLB is hot, hot, hot! (that is, once you get through Bob's vocals, which are pretty rough in spots).

Glad you liked it man! Yeah, that Corrina>MLB is definitely top notch stuff... I love it. I need to give this show another whirl to pay it proper respects.

Listened a few weeks ago - good show. I remember some nice Jerry soloing in the 1st Set, and an especially hot Ramble On Rose. The Corinna-Jam was good, although I don't go goo-goo ga-ga over the MLB melody jam as some others. Solid show worth a repeat listen, although it probably won't make my permanent rotation. So many great shows from this year....

Also love the Lazy River Road: great version. And Watchtower is hot.

A very good Let it Grow as well. And dare I say a pretty darn good NFA. Not Fade is one of those songs... I'm a little let down when I hear the first chords, but usually when I walk away I'm thinking it was one of the highlights.
