1: Half Step, Rooster, B. E. Women, Broken Arrow, Supplication, Stagger Lee, Promised
2: Foolish Heart, Woman Smarter, Ship Of Fools, Corinna> Drumz> Last Time> Stella Blue> Saturday Night E: IFTL

final/last "Supplication": 10-31-84 [597]

I put this one on last night and gave it a blind listen.
Excellent 1/2 Step, which is a good sign if they are doing so well on the opener in 93.
The Rooster surpassed my low expectations, Vince really worked his heart out on this one.
A great BEW came next, and by this point I was pretty happy,a nd thinking that good things were following... I was write.
I was a little surprised when I heard the Supplication Jam beginning, but definitely happy. The jam remained rather mellow, and all the sudden I heard Bobby count off under his breath... and WHAM! He started the lyrics to Supplication! for the first time since 10/31/84 (according to deadbase.com, but I thought they did it in 86 for some reason).
Phil comes up with a pretty good Broken Arrow to follow.
The set closes down with Stagger Lee and Promised Land.

Foolish Heart opened up the 2nd set, and was a nice version. Vince again was triumphant here. Jerry was off in never never land during the intro, but then he remembered he was the lead guitar player and brought it to the forefront.
Woman Are Smarter was next... then Ship of Fools came. I love this song, and all detractors will be forced to walk the plank.
Corrina, while not my favorite, was generally pretty good in 93. Of course, the jam into drums made it all worth while. Definitely worth a listen. If you are one of the demented lovers of this song, I am sure you will like it. Not as good as the May 10th version, but damn good.
Drums>Space, particularly the stadium shaking part, was cool enough. Out of space came a great The Last Time. I never agreed with the placement of the song, but this time it worked. Nice vocals by Bobby, and a great tempo throughout, which is then slowed into a pleasant Stella Blue. The finale of Stella was great stuff, as it should be.
Seeing as how it was Saturday, OMSN made its appearance and would close the 2nd set. As always, high energy.
The encore was the underrated and oft maligned IFTL. I don't know, I just like it. It would be nice if they would have made it a double encore whenever they played this, simply because it is among the shortest of their tunes... Perhaps an IFTL>US Blues combo would have been cool.

Overall, a random show I picked. I enjoyed it, as a lover of 1993. There are certainly better shows. Swami was raving to me about the previous night, based on this night I will have to check it out too. I am sure they are somewhat similar (other than setlist), so at a minimum, it can't disappoint.
In closing, definitely a show to check out if you are examining 1993 for hidden gems.

It went the way of your Scarlet>Fire PITB project I guess.
