Comments: Source: FM -> Master Reel (1/4 Track 7.5ips Dolby B Tandberg Deck) -> Dat D. Lineage: Dat (Sony R500) -> SEK'D Prodif Plus -> Samplitude Professional v8.01 -> Cool Edit Pro v2.0 -> FLAC. -- Seamless transition between discs 2 and 3. Reel flips in Bird song and Drums patched with FM source pulled from LMA. Cool Edit Pro used to make minor level adjustments. I (miller) removed all DJ chatter that wasn't over the music. This FM sounds like a matrix to me (kochman).

So how many of you older kids stayed up all night NYE taping the shows every year?

This was my second NYE I stayed up to tape. The first set came out great. KILLER Shakedown by the way! Somewhere on the backend of set 2 my recorder got fast or the tape was off or something and the pitch was WAAAAY off. It took me quite awhile to get a good full copy of the show. Probably becasue I was the only loser on the East Coast that stayed up until 4:30 in the morning taping the radio broadcast.

Not every year, but this one for sure. I was taping this show with friends in Santa Fe, NM, and went clinically insane for at least an hour beginning with the first notes of set three. I was absolutely convinced the spaceship was talking off and we had missed the ride. A long group hug, with multiple exhortations to "keep my eyes open" and "be here now" eventually brought me back to Earth.

Good times! Laughing

Epic Baby Blue, eh?

I just wanted to thank you for such valuable information and have followed the links and downloaded the shows. I really have enjoyed them so far. My first show was in 1984 at Merriweather Post Pav. Two great nights. Did they take a break on the 30th? I probably should know this. Thanks. Phil
