This music is not for the children. Lock them up or cover their ears if you put this on. Does anyone even know who this guy is? He's my little bit of history.

When I was a senior in HS (88-89), one of my friends was attending Washburn College in KS. When he came home for Christmas, he brought a tape of the infamous Biker Joe Warren (as then unknown to anyone, including him, the tape had no information on it). After a few 12 ounce curls, he decided to share his new found treasure with the gathered masses. Even in lo fidelity, the sound was awful. it literally sounded as if this guy was performing in a bar and the tape was made on one of those old rectangular tape recorders. As for the music, well let's just say that this is some really funny music to buzzed teenagers. Within a week, all of my friends and I could sing the horrible songs and did, over and over.

With classics like "Hershey Highway," "Gynecologist," "Fuck You," and "Dingleberries," you can just imagine how wonderful these babies are.

Now for the even funnier part. While in the parking lot at Pine Knob in the summer of '91 I am doing what most people do, wandering around, drinking, and people watching. From around a corner, I hear the artistic renderings of Biker Joe floating through the air. As we get closer, sure enough, it's a group of hardened bikers playing it. Not being shy, I walked over, introduced myself, and proceeded to sing those damn songs right along with them! What a hoot! I truly caught them off guard. I'm sure they never expected some "damn hippy" to know Biker Joe, but I did. They were in fact the folks who told me who he was and a little about the music, not that they knew a lot.

Anyway, one night when you may have had one too many, I recommend checking this out. I just pulled out my old CD and got a kick out of it.
