Song versions that will always be #1?
I have heard many great versions of the following 2 songs, but these will more than likely always be my go-to choices.

Looks Like Rain - 9/22/91
Black Throated Wind - 6/14/91

I can't do it. Seems my favorites change now and again as I run through new (to me) material. Confused

This show is one of my favorites from 69, for the two reasons you mention. The end of UJB is very unique. Jerry starts this sweet humming that I love and they then do a unique and sweet/haunting transition into He Was A Friend of Mine that is very smooth and seamless. Just wonderful.

Alligator starts off rather standard but they have some nice jamming following drums, and preceeding Caution, including an IBYGN jam. Just some great jamming with some nice contributions from TC.

Along with some others, before today I would have said my favorite NFA is the rather standard choice of 5/8/77. I listened to the one from 9/20/70 today and was blown away by it. Not sure it would surpass 5/8/77 but it sure is awfully close. It goes in a lot of different directions but has a lot of energy and has a very nice IBYGN jam in the middle that they usually do at the end of GDTRFB. Any other thoughts on the 9/20/70 NFA?

Cool choice, I just listened to it and wouldn't say it was my favorite, but it was new to me. Love the intensity and 3 minute intro before lyrics.

I have to say, I've come to a couple of decisions since the last time I posted on this thread:

One of my favorites, 12/11/79 is another '79 scorcher.
