This won't be the first time I have said this... I find you insane.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great show, but... 11/11/73 inferior?!

The show can be summed up as someone once put it "The Other One Every Other One". I think the segues are awesome, but the x-factor, for me, is not anywhere near the x-factor at the end of the Dark Star> when it picks up and heads into the MLB Jam in the Eyes.

Furthermore, from the first notes Jerry is in total control of 11/11.

In all, I just found 11/14 to be lacking in the x-factor, but truly a great show nevertheless.

Hey Gopher, your heads-up on this the other day had me pulling it off a shelf where it's been too long. (I've been steeped in '68-'72 lately & '73's been getting shorted...) I shoulda been returning to it sooner. Hot damn!

This show rulez--from the under-mentioned & gorgeous transitional jam in China>Rider on through that epic Other One stack. I love the Eyes in this stack--just spot on. Been spinning it a few times this week & just wanted to say thanx!

I guess this makes my first post, doesn't it? Hey y'all. I've been daily lurking for weeks and this site is the sweet stuff. Thanks for the invite. I'm Scott and I'm "mudcatbluez" on a couple other sites, so I may as well be here. Looks like there's plenty of folks here who not only know their [CENSORED] but dig talking Dead. Very Happy

Like it here? I have been for weeks...

Peace.

Since there is a Donna kills thread, but no "Donna is alright/pleasant" thread, I put this here.
Love this show, especially the China-Rider transition mentioned above, but just about everything else as well.
Donna is perfectly complimentary and in harmony the entire show.
The only drawback, however, is the girl who insists on wailing "Walk in the Sunshine" between the first few tunes."
Maybe it was Donna's sister in the audience trying to ruin her perfect show? Twisted Evil

Your Donna support is getting very suspicious... didn't you vote for her as your 2nd favorite member? Hmmm...
I might have to recommend you for enhanced interrogation to determine which group your with and what your goals are.

I'm her great nephew, 11 times removed. Cool
I never voted that, just giving credit where credit is due
to a poor, monitorless member of the band, during which many agree were
the honey years.

The same girl(?) can be heard screaming that during 7/16/76, for most of the first set.

As soon as you start the opening Cold Rain you hear "Walk in the sunshine!" immediately followed by song intro.

Great Show... I ought to know it was my first...Love the every other one , other one in the second set...still gives me chicken skin every time I hear it.... Donna was there but she was soooo pregnant she only waddled on for a few spots, priceless Wall of sound had the old San Diego Sports Aroma sounding good for one of the few times in history...Charlie's version is awesome
