#65 8/15/1987 Town Park, Telluride, CO
#64 5/22/1982 Greek Theatre, U. of California, Berkeley, CA
#63 7/6/1987 Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, PA
#62 10/17/1982 Downs of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM
#61 10/9/1982 Frost Ampitheatre, Stanford U., Palo Alto, CA

Well obviously this installment of POL is all about 1982 and 1987. Looking at these, I really want them to be higher up in the countdown - which just speaks to the wealth of great shows in this Era. #s 65 and 61 will fulfill your Morning Dew fix, #s 63 and 62 your Shakedown fix, and #64 your Bob Weir jones. #64 and 62 both give you lots of quantity in addition to quality, and also if you are in the mood for some electronic power drums - take the ride to Telluride.

31 years later and I'm still bummed that I missed the Santa Fe show. Crying or Very sad On a more contemporary footing, I'm bummed that no other recordings of this show have surfaced. The funkiness of the one AUD at AI is off-putting, and the mysterious hole in Althea (tape flip?) just rubs salt in the wound.

I'm getting very curious to discover what the top 50 shows will be. Having a show as strong as 10/9/82 pop up below #50 is a little surprising, but it makes me just that much more eager to find out which shows bumped it down the ladder.
