I just learned of Dave Woodward's recent passing - a former Sailor Pub member and a really good guy from what I knew of him. I referred to him as "Dave from New Zealand," since, well, we don't get lots of Southern Hemisphere deadheads. Apparently, from his facebook profile which is still up, his condition (cancer) worsened after the new year and went downhill fast this month. I didn't know that the situation was so dire, so it was kind of shocking for me to discover this news. Death don't have no mercy.

Sad. I'm sorry for his family and his friends. Thanks for letting us know Swami.

God... I just saw this...
Day completely ruined. Dave may not know it, but his wisdom and approach had a profound impact on me during a very impressionable period in my life which I will never forget.

I'm glad he had a full life, he was active for his age, health, etc. A great dude.

He will be missed.

Funny, I was just thinking about him the other day.
Like that time he had a photograph of himself as an avatar, and I asked, where is that Jerry pic from, he looks a little off Laughing

RIP

I genuinely enjoyed the discussions he shared with us!

RIP Dave.

Fuck cancer!
