I am starting this thread so we can refer back to it b/c some of the stuff is really funny:

I'll start with 12/28/78

"The drums... Now the drums are melting" -Bob

"Yeah what was in that water anyway" - Jer.

4/10/78

"We're gonna do another song just as soon as the Red Chinese stop messin' with Jerry's brain" - Bob

Hahahah! Love it... and drawing a blank right now.

Bob said some weird things throughout. He may have used drugs.

I think after the Sugaree on 12/28/79 Jerry said something like "that worked gooooooood" with a wierd twist...

Moving this into the more general section, because it happened to the end.

I like how, sometimes in later shows, you hear Bob frustratingly said "way too fucking slow!"... maybe ear monitors?

Before second set on 10/30/77 they argue about the line-up for the second set. Phil and Jer are going back and forth while Bob steps up to the mic and says: "OK we know exactly what we are going to play now." as they are still arguing back and forth behind him. Just totally screwing with them. I know during this time they were all pissed at Bob for not practicing and moving forward enough to suit.

You can get an idea when between songs in a '76 show you can hear Mickey, "No, I don't want to do that. We do that every fucking night Weir." Weir- "We didn't do it last night." "Yeah we did." Mickey Then of course Weir does LIG or LL>Supp or whatever it is later.

I think you get a ton of insight into their personalities through this stuff that you don't get from any books or other interaction. The way guys are at work is their true nature.

I recall that exact Bobby quote from 5/10/87 during an atypically slow Women R Smarter - although don't recall other instances.

In various spots on 10-19-81, Bobby's voice is cracking, (no doubt the residual effect of his "birthday" shows at the Milkweg,) you can hear Jerry chuckling.
Arguably Weir's worst vocal performance of the early 80's, good Jerry show though.

Easily my favorite LIG in there... I didn't find his vocals to be too bad, but I am so completely blown away by Jerry in that rendition I may not have even noticed!

2/28/69:

JG - Wipeout, Wipeout?

Phil - Hey, wait a minute! I came here to see some psychedelic music.

JG- Well, you came to the wrong place

10/31/79

Bobby: What's the difference between a frog? One legs both the same.

Later on in the show...

Bobby: What's the difference between a duck(I think)? One legs both the same....

Hahaha, I'm guessing he did that to mess with people's heads...

@Swami, Bob definitely broke out the WTFS comments in 1993, and also there were times I recall him telling Vince to turn it down a notch! hahaha
