7/8/78 and 11/20/78 are in the Top 64...
We need to vote for one more, and we have 10 days of voting.
Please choose one from the following to also make the Top 64:

Sad to see 10/20 didn't even make the cut, but oh well.

1-22 and 2-5 are both better than 4-16, although that's a dandy show.

Wow, I have always found 1/22/78 to be a one trick pony/gimmick show... Other than the slightly interesting, and sometimes repeated, Close Encounters theme, I find this show to be thoroughly underwhelming... and not really jazzy beautiful like the 4/16/78 show.

1/22 - I think the Other One through the end of the show is pretty high octane - St. Stephen is one of the better K&D versions. However, set I and pre-drums is pretty average.

1-22 has a very superior Terrapin also. I don't remember set I, but this show has been on deck for a while now I have to listen again. St. Stephen and Other One are some of the most hair-raisingly rocking playing the band ever did. 4-16 has a nifty first set with a really good Scarlet>Fire, a superior Eyes, and the best Peggy-O of all time. It's not a rout but my sense is I'd take 1-22, although I somehow forgot about the Peggy-O when I initially posted this. I should listen to them both.

2-5 is just complete insanity, though. Much as I love the Scarlet>Fire from 4-16, 2-5 smokes it...Garcia goes nuclear on that one. He's pretty much on fire, as far as guitar solos go, on the whole show. The Samson with the extended intro doesn't hurt either.

I must admit to not really being familiar with 2/5... perhaps I shall check it out.
I have been in a GD rut recently, just not really listening to much...
This too shall pass.

Most of it can be found on Dick's Picks #18.

Ah, wait, then I believe I heard some of it with Swami... can't recall how I felt about it though as that was probably back in 2007...

Need to throw 1/11/78 into the mix. Check the Terrapin > Playin' > Jam > St. Stephen > NFA > Playin' segment.
