So this may be way less of a rare occurrence than I think, but it seems very rare that the band busts out a H>S>F and a Scarlet>Fire on the same night. The only two shows i can think of off the top of my head are 4/23/77 and 10/31/90. I'm sure there are more, but probably not to many. I could see why they wouldn't want to play two their biggest "hits" in one night. Any one know why? Or am i just not taking a ton of shows into consideration where they did?

I wish they tried some kind of crazy combination like Help>Scarlet>Slipknot>Fire>Franklin's lol

Well there's also 10-31-91, and 10-01-94.

The most apparent reason for the rarity of both occurrences in the same show is that H/S/F was not a frequent enough 1st Set triplet, and within a 2nd Set H/S/F and Scarlet/Fire are mutually exclusive. That is to say, one or the other would generally open the 2nd Set, but you would not have both in a 2nd Set. Scarlet/Fire of course was never (with a couple exceptions) played in Set One, so the only realistic opportunity for both to be played was the scenario of H/S/F opening Set 1 and Scarlet-Fire in Set 2.

Yeah, but they only did HSF something like 5 times in 77. A quick deadlists check shows that they also played both on 6/15/90, 5/31/92, 4/2/93, 2/24/95, and 5/26/95.

And there's always the Help>Slip>FOTM from 9/20/91.

That H>S>FOTM is pretty cool too...
