No - not best Truckin or even favorite Truckin.... Rolling Eyes

One that you just heard and it rocks - point of the thread is that Truckin was so often well-done but also surrounded by other great material, that it occurred to me (lately it occurs to me..) that we oughtta pay homage to the last version heard that they knocked down like a bowling pin.

I just happened to catch 8-13-79 McNichols Arena - hot version into a Nobody's Jam then back into Truckin jam and end.

12/27/77, the return of Truckin' to San Francisco, and my favorite underrated 77 show. They certainly do clobber it out of the park.

Swami - a very similar Truckin is 5/13/79 Cumberland County.
They do Truckin>Nobody's Jam>truckin Reprise>Jam.

Great show I commented on a few weeks ago...

I have not heard this one but I lobe the one from 11/6/77. It is very hot and Jerry does an unusual thing where he sort of dialogues with himself as if he has another lead guitar player with him.

Interesting, because he usually was good on the lyrics in the earlier days compared to the 80s, where I can't even name a date where he sang it without a flub.

I would imagine they were still a little rusty because they had taken somewhat of a break and this was one of the first shows of 72. 72 is definitely the year of Truckin for me.

09-20-82 M.S.G. - nestled in between a hot Spanish and an Other One (good place to be).

No, Bobby didn't blow the whistle.
