Was listening to 12/13/80 today while jogging, after a somewhat typical Sailor, Jerry jumped out of the bushes and ripped my face off with his solos!

Definitely a great Saint...

6/17/91 was a good one too

I've always liked the solo version out of Space from 5/7/80. You get the full manic-depressive bi-polar mood swing as it leads directly into Black Peter. Cool

I like my Saints like I like my women, with a sailor. Wait that isn't right. I do like Go To Nassau Saint>Sailor combo though. May 15 or 16th can't remember the date off the top of my head.

Interestingly, the first 3 choices have been from 1980, which I tend to consider the best year for the song(s).

3/10/81 has a nice one (Saint), it starts slowly, but really gets roaring, before settling down into a short "Circumstantial Jam" that is mainly Bobby and the drummers.

11/25/79 Pauley Pavillion - I think Zeph turned me on to this. Sailor>Saint>Deal - emphasis on the Saint.

4/6/82 - a fine pairing of both tunes

4/12/84 and 4/4/85 - both "ragged but right"

8/1/82 - Zoo Ampitheatre - great lead section, and after the outro "sure don't know.." they keep jamming on that theme instead of ending the song, then Bobby comes back into singing. Very unique and inspired.

10/29/80 not the greatest show but it does have a Wheel>Saint>Peter

6/13/87 Shakedown>Saint>Ship. Solid Saint.

11/2/79 rightfully lives in the shadows of 10/31, 11/1, ane 11/5, but the Saint from 11/2 has a monster orbital jam after it that I like a lot.

Yes, isn't that more of a "Circumstancial Jam"? I will have to give it another whirl...

Saint out of space is pretty cool.

Ah, you may be right... I will refer back to the Orbital thread as I'm no 79 expert, but Brent goes for broke and wrings every outer space effect that he can out of his Moog(?), echoing off into the cosmos. Super cool jam, whatever you call it.
