1) Don't post criticisms or any comments whatsoever here, do that in the other parts of the site. No free speech in the voting.
2) You can edit your choices as many times as you want until voting ends, on Halloween Night at midnight.
3) Voting will be done by year, with each year getting a set number of possible nominations you can make... if you screw this up, the entire "ballot" will be invalid.

Now, let the voting...

Can you explain how we get from this stage to the final 64? Is there a set number of shows from each year that make it, or ????

I feel bad because I didn't submit my list this year Embarassed . I really haven't done a whole lot of Dead listening this year, but I tend to take time off from them every once and awhile. Am I still allowed to participate or must I be flogged first?

Well, voting ended back in Halloween...
You were not the only stalwart of the Pub to not vote...

I think this is probably going to be the last time I run the Top 64. In some cases, we only had 4 people voting in a year... That just doesn't seem like it is worth the effort that I put out.

I don't think we need to abandon the contest. I'm just too damn lazy. It takes a lot of work ( Especially for you, Koch ) but for me to keep coming up with 64 shows that I have actually heard in their entirety and think they are desreving every year is a task. I almost feel the need to stop listening to the Dead after each tournament.

Having said that, I do love the conversation that the tournament churns. I also like that a past winner is retired and that we need to come up with a new winner every year. It would be a shame to loose a list of a somewhat consensual top 10 over say 10 years. Adding to that, we have some newcomers here and having some fresh perspectives would be welcoming. I mean how many times do you want to hear my same take on how ?/?/? is the best show EVER!!! Also I've been turned onto shows and segments that I haven't listened to.

The NCAA has made changes and evolves. There is no huge law here that we can't change to make it work. This tournament should be fun first and foremost. I'm not saying that anything is wrong with it other than the task of coming up with 64 shows.

I didn't vote either. I too am a lazy man at times. But one of the reasons I did not vote was that I probably would have just put the same damn shows down (or most of them) as I put in last year, so, what's the point. Maybe it should be a random sampling of shows from various years. THAT might be interesting!
A titan of 1986 going up against a clunker from 1969...
