Sucks! He lost his battle with cancer. He had some good moments and I have rocked out to him in the early stages of my rock n roll upbrining. Time to crank Holy Diver \m/.

My brother was a big Dio fan when I was growing up, he was a heavy metal great. RIP RJD. I put up one of his free trade shows - summerfest 84 fm iirc - on lossless at Aiko's late but great site up but left it on my megaupload account if at all interested.

I love dio! Corny lyrics? yes. but still his voice was fucking powerful and he actually made those lyrics not stupid. Dio is awesome and i will really miss him. His sabbath albums kick ass.

My wife had a chuckle when I mentioned our conversation yesterday Jesse. You said Dio died and I never heard of the guy. I told you Lena Horne died and you never heard of her. That was funny!

I loved his song "The man on the silver mountain", and also the Black Sabbath LP "Heaven and Hell". He had a special voice, very 80-sh.

When Dio first got sick his band Heaven and Hell cancelled the summer tour. For those that don't know Heaven and Hell was Black Sabbath without Ozzy...again. I wonder if they can get Ozzy to replace him for a show.

I think it is hard Dogstarz because I read somewhere over the net that Ozzy sued Iommy for copyright / name of the band issues, ... and this happened recently. This whole issue is very sad!
