For those that may have missed it this show is deserving of a Nobel Prize! The names are real, the people are real, the trainwreck is REAL!!!!!!!

I can't look away. This is the best thing that has happened to televison since color. I grew up near here and it scares me that this creature......this thing called a guido or guidette invades my homeland every summer. Don't be fooled, these kids are not from Jeresey. They flock to the beaches there from Long Island and Philly. We take their money and laugh at them! If you watch only one show this millenium, make it this one. You won't be dissapointed.

Catch it now before it gets cancelled. It is inevitable it will. You will thank me later!

What is the show called?? It's about guidos?? Probably pretty funny. There is a website called "save our island" devoted to the evolution, study and extermination of guidos on L.I.

Wife and I watched the first two episodes back-to-back on Sunday evening. OMG hilarious. These people are incredibly stupid. What a brilliant concept. The Real World, guido style. Only problem was that afterwards, I felt really stupid, started calling myself "The Situation" and then had trouble sleeping because I kept envisioning those icky guidos and guidettes Shocked

Damn Brille was down the road a bit from me. Grew up in Sea Bright near Long Branch!

This show is awesome in it's greatness. Diane Fossey had her gorillas. This masterpice is at least as socially important. This week is the episode when Snookie gets punched in the face by a drunk guido. Look for HUGE ratings. HUGE!

Yes, but if it's sad, why is it so funny?? Confused
I'm pitching a similar show to MTV about the white trash wannabee gangstahs in my neighborhood, and their pregnant teenage girlfriends.

That would be funny duderino...
But, MTV?
How about a serious HBO series like "The Wire"... it could be called "The Wigger"...
Was that too much?

I hate that I know this but........They already have that show. It's called 15 and Pregnant. Saw it adverstised on the Jersey shore.

I think a show following the Phish tour and the smelly wooks that go on that tour would be full of a whole lotta WIN. Mini Vans, Nitrous, Heady Grilled Cheez, the list could go on.

Meth Cooks of Oklahoma sounds like a fun reality show.

Well, I didnt want to use that word, but that's the general term used....it could be a combo comedy/drama. A reality show format, just letting them be themselves, would be best. McNulty and Keema lived in my neighborhood when they were shooting the Wire. Cool

Dominic West, he was also in 300, playing a Spartan villain. I think he's a pretty good actor, and somewhat of a tough guy that can kick ass... at least on screen.

So where does that leave Steven Segal. He has a new show where he is actually a cop. He has been a secret cop for 20 years and rides around around New Orleans looking for trouble. He trains the police force in hand to hand and is actually quite the badass.

Yes, so I wached this train wreck of a show last night and it was funny, really funny...I laughed my ass off, what a great recommendation!!!..What I could not get over is how nasty those chicks are....I mean, every last one of them were fake bake dye job implant fatties that dressed like yucky ho's....I am totally down with chicks dressing like sluts if they are into it, but these foul skanks are doing a disservice to all chicks that dress slutty....Dont get me wrong, the bangbang would not be out of the question...BUT, without barlight protection it would be mighty difficult to stomach these wookies...Maybe its just me, but are these chicks as nasty as I percieved them to be???

Oh yeah they are. They are AWESOME in their slutiness. Last night was comedy again but THEY EDITED OUT when the dude hit Snookie in the face. The World had been waiting for it and amid all the calls for how bad the show is, some vilolence groups must have put some pressure on the show to NOT run that clip. I mean she took a HARD blast to the face and you can still find the clip somewhere but it's been pulled from all the official sites like Youtube etc....

I was wondering why did that...I mean these days the violence on TV is ridiculous, but they cant show a slap Question .....That dude was so wasted that hit her, and they must have edited the maylay afterwards...I must admit I was looking forward to seeing her slapped like the rest of the country....Again Lucas, GREAT heads up on some bad TV...I am now a fan Shocked

Oh it was far from a slap. It was a full on, closed fisted punch in the face!!!

There were some instant classic lines from last nights show. As a matter of fact someone needs to make a master list.

" When the ladies see the fist pump, they no what;s goin on. "

"If you don't spend an hour in the gym, you're gonna have problems because the Situation is spending an hour and a half."

"sometimes you have to fight back against the beats by pounding the floor"

" You don't fall in love at the Jesey Shore "

" I don't get bogged down, I light it up and move on to the next one "

" Sometimes you got to fall on a grenade for your home boy, " in reference to one guido distracting the ugly girl ( the grenade ) so that the Situation could get some from her hotter, more Italian friend.

" Yeah we smushed "

Feel free to add others!

Just watched that episode. Full on! I must admit Snookie is growing on me like a fungus. The wife and I are hooked!!! Now we are getting a fire going, drinking a little, decorating the tree and ready for the snow.

Ok, I caught a snippet of this show yesterday at the "baah", getting a couple brews after work...

Pretty odd... I don't even know what to make of that whole scene... I guess if I was from where they were from I would probably have gotten into it, but as an adult looking back, I am just like "huh?"...

The super orange skin from fake n bake has never worked for me... the drama... the cleavage... are your daughters on this show? could they be? should I have daughters? ahhhhhhhh!!!!

Interesting how this type of thing is so popular and well known... it's like a secret fetish almost, because no one seems to admit to watching it... but it survives... meaning, people do watch it.

People love to hate this show, I've never seen it, but I would imagine it's just a logical extension of The Real World, it sounds like a guilty pleasure show.

Thanks for resureccting this thread. The epicness of last night's show should not be overlooked. Probably the best thing I have ever heard in my life came from the Snookster about tanning.

In a nutshell Snookie has quit going to the tanning salon because....wait for it....wait for it....

OBAMA PURPOSELY PUT A NEW TAX ON TANNING BECAUSE ( and I'm quoting here ) "HE HATES US" ( meaning the cast of Jersey shore )

I almost spit my beer across the room. She was dead serious too!! I mean these " people " actually think that they are important enough to warrent the President of the United States persecuting them.

I guess that's what happens when you let a bunch of Guidos open the NYSE, which they did earlier in the week.

My girlfriend while saying OH MY GOD, these people are horrible couldn't pull herself away. She HATES the show with a passion generally reserved for rapists and murders but I caught her frozen and focused on the show a few times. The best was when she was going to the kitchen and just stopped in the middle of the room in front of the TV, blocking my view. I gave a few throat clears and she completely ignored me. She couldn't pull herself away.

When the show was over she said she it was like watching a slow motion trainwreck, except on that show there seems to be a trainwreck every 5 minutes.

I will admit with no guilt that I'm a fan and this show cracks me up.
I also by the way share a house with my 23 year old cousin, and can tell you that all him and his boys concentrate on every day is hittin the gym, clean laundry, really good herb, and girls.
It's almost like I have 'The Shore" constantly streaming. Rolling Eyes

Here's what I don't get... obviously these girls are spoiled little princesses...
But their parents are paying for boob jobs at their age? What?!
Jwow seems to have implants... I know she couldn't afford that without help. What is going on here?

I would much rather watch this show than sit through an hour of that True Blood bullshit. WTF is with women and vampires? My daughter likes Twilight, my wife likes True Blood. I can't win.

True Blood was just plain awful... I watched it for the sake of my ex-wife, and it was just plain painful.
I get the vampire lust thing... look no further than the movie "Dracula", and the scene with the 3 female vampires (one of whom is Monica Bellucci!)... that did it for me, imprinted on my mind as a teenager...
But the really lame drama of those shows is just too much for me to handle.

True Blood is hilarious - plus there is lots of sex.
It is a ridiculous, campy soap opera about vampires and werewolves.

It was entertaining.
I'm sure it's endlessly marketed by MTV, the network operates on saturation, so i'm sure a lot of people just get sick of seeing it on MTV and gossip sites and other channels all the time. Money talks, I'm sure MTV makes tons of money off these guys.

A sitcom, made to look like reality, there's no doubt in my mind most of it is scripted and staged. Entertainment value: 0.0

Jersey Shore is on?
I'll be outside playing kick ball alone, in the snow.

I wouldn't even watch this show if my perfect 10, guitar wailing, GD reciting, perfected breasted, sweetest little thing inside the kitchen, scratch golfer of a wife asked me to.

But hey, hope you guys enjoy the third season Wink

Gopher, I'm with you...
I have completely dropped out of TV as we know it... and my insanely awesome girlfriend watches some crap still, but she gets that I am not going too...

"Reality" TV has been downhill since Survivor...
