Pigpen Era Coordinator = Skobud & fillmoreeast

Pre-Retirment Era Coordinator = IMKind

Post-Retirement Era Coordinator = _____________

Pre-Coma Brent Era Coordinator = Kochman

Post-Coma Brent Era Coordinator = duderino

Vince Era Coordinator = snow_and_rain

Volunteers to fill the empty slots?
And, we should only work on one at a time. I hope those of you who prefer a certain era or eras will also continue to vote and pay attention when we are in eras you don't enjoy as much.

I suggest that in order to eliminate the drawn-out nominations process, the coordinators themselves should choose what will be on the polls. This way, the setlists can in some ways reflect the personal tastes of those who are conducting them. Also, this will allow the coordinators to throw in a surprise here and there to keep things interesting.

@ CR79 - seems like a good idea, though time isn't really a pressing issue. I think this is a good idea... BUT, people forget stuff, you know? So, perhaps the coordinator can post the preliminary list of choices, and people can comment about additions (or subtractions) from the list.

@ Gopher - done and OK

@ IMKind... am I stepping on your toes here?

@ both of you, you got it...

I was thinking, if others want to join in on an era, they can... this isn't really a first some first serve thing. So, I can add names.

But, one person should only be a part of one era.

I'll do post Coma Brent. Very familiar with that era.

Cool, so, we have all sections covered.
Again, if others want to join in and help in an era, just post it. The more the merrier.

There is a huge difference between '76 vs '77-'79, so what I guess I am trying to say is, if anyone would be interested in doing a '76 show, please do so, because my focus is pretty much locked on '77-'79 standards.

True... but 76 doesn't really, by itself, merit its own show... in the same light, 87 is way different from 90...
I think just work it in as best as you can (1st set stuff for example).

Sko will actually have the hardest time of coming up with a format... or the easiest, depending on how you look at it. Cool

Just thinkin about that....I think I may do it sort of chronologically so it is not so disjointed...I mean think of some of the primal vs. Europe '72 setlist.......Start early and finish late....I dunno, Im gonna give it a think.....Im also ready whenever, but lets give others time to join eras...I think Fillmore will definately want to be a part of Pig as well as DS probably.....

Not to be a bummer... but, yeah, the overlap of Pig and Keith probably needs to be dealt with...

I put E72 more firmly in the Keith Era personally, as Pig was definitely a side show by then, the zeitgeist having moved to more jam based stuff...

You mean in '71 I assume...
I can't remember when his first show was, but that is a good idea, as just as with Brent's addition, Keith really took the GD in a different direction.

Nope. I'm lovin' it. Now it feels like a true team effort. Thank you Snow and Rain for this most excellent idea!

So am I taking mid-October 71 up to retirement?

It seems to me we should take it chronologically, meaning (if you all concur)you're up first Skobud.

I will the primaries here moderators for this section, when you show is done, that will go away though.
I also took the liberty to unsticky some of the older threads from the initial USDS, as it no longer really applies to what we are doing.

I am down with helping on either the Pig era or pre coma Brent. Since there are 2 on the Pig it would make sense for me to join up the pre coma Brent.

Yeah, you are helping me... I should add it.
Anyhow, I already posted the basic setlist format we talked about.

Via PM we can talk more...

Since I asked Gopher about his project and he didn't respond , someone else can take the Post-Retirment portion of the USDS project.
Otherwise, it just won't be done.

My bad.

I can start my project as early as tomorrow.

Thing is I don't have a predetermined out line...it's just going to be song#, song #2, etc..cool? Each slot will have three nominees elected by myself.
