Knickerbocker Arena
Albany, NY
3/24/90

Let The Good Times Roll > Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower ; Walkin' Blues [6:53] ; Loser ; Desolation Row ; Tennessee Jed > One More Saturday Night

Playing In The Band [10:11] > Uncle John's Band [10:05] > Terrapin Station [13:22] > Mind Left Body Jam [7:52] > Drums [9:41] > Space [10:42] > The Wheel [4:44] > All Along The Watchtower [7:42] > Stella Blue [8:39] > Not Fade Away [9:42]
And We Bid You Good Night [2:52]

I know the second set of this one is on Dozin', but I always loved the first set especially the Loser. Looking for something different I ran across this one that I have not listened too in a few years. Glad I did, and now I rememeber why it was in a constant rotation a few summers ago.

Is this a good show or a great show?

I would rank it as great. Not a fan of Walkin, but other than that its pretty smokin, especially set II. I listened to Dozin recently. Usually I don't get excited about Watchtower but Jer shreds!!

Great in my book, as much of the Spring 90 tour is.
The Loser is often referred to as the best ever... it certainly packs some x-factor punch!

Yea man, I hear that...The energy is through the roof...I was looking for Brent era opinions because I think this one is great right from the jump with the Good Times opener...

I like LTGTR, its short and sweet and sets the mood nicely.

3/15 is another great show from that tour in my book. Could do without the I Will Put You To Sleep, but the rest of the show is great!

Indeed, with that Terrapin, the best pre-93 Terrapin I would say.
The post space, even the IWTYH, is pretty cool.

3/24/90 belongs solidly in the Great category. The MLB jam is one for the ages.

It is great! I completely agree with the the notion of describing this show as great! With the second set commercially provided on Dozin' and a first set so good that Loser made it's way onto Dozin' as well, it would be hard to deny the greatness of this show. The only reason the majority of set I is not represented on Dozin' as well is because what is on Dozin', mostly the first set from 3/26/90, is absolutely phenomenal!!! The three songs excised from 3/26 for the Dozin' release are also excellent, and should be sought out (B,T, Wind [with the new lyrics], Big RXR, and Picasso Moon).

This was the beginning of one hell of a week in GD history, at least performance wise!!

Great.

I'm somewhat biased, considering I'm from Albany. I love all Knickerbocker Arena shows from the spring of '90.

I love Let the Good Times Roll as an opener. The HSF is shorter than most versions, but still packs an early punch. Agreed with everyone else about the Loser being one of the best ever.

In the second set, the MLB jam following Terrapin is absolutely excellent, one of my favorite jams in Dead history. The entire second set flows beautifully.

Great show. One of the first ones I go to when I want something from Spring '90.

So, this begs the question here...
Is this the "biggest" loser?

All I've heard so far is the Terrpin>MLB Jam and i would say great. Thanks for pointing me to this show, defiantly going to check the whole thing out.
