That is quite the list Vlad! I am surprised you had time to do that with all your daytime soap toils...

Not just the soaps - the women, the wine, the merryment! How in heaven's name did I do it? Cool

Duck, do you have a list of GD shows you have on DVD? These appear to be newclips, etc.

That's a mighty long list, most of which I'm not really familiar with. Could you care to recommend some highlights for us? Very Happy

They all have interesting elements. I would say the Garcia "Lifelines" interview is a must-have. Garcia's thoughts on how he would like to be remembered are especially bittersweet.

The scope of the content is very diverse on that list of videos.

And, a list of actual shows? I know you have a truck load of shows on DVD... can you provide that list?

1. West 57th (CBS) 1985 (8:54)
Very entertaining report on the Grateful Dead 20th
anniversary shot at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. This
one really captures the concert experience. Lots of dancing,
drugs, and Deadheads. The shots of the band on stage are
really fine...palm trees in the background. Of all the
TV specials for my parents to see what the Dead was about,
I'm sorry they saw this one. Too much information!

2. KGO TV News (S.F.) 5-85 (2:23)
A couple of quick reports about the San Francisco visit
by the Gyuto Monks from Tibet. Interview with Mickey Hart.

3. KGO TV News (S.F.) 6-85 (9:09)
To mark the 20th anniversary of Grateful Dead, KGO TV
ran a three-part series on it's local newscast. Lots of very
familiar footage, some New Year's Eve '84, Chinese New Year '85,
Frost Ampitheater '85 and on the final report some footage from
earlier in the evening at the Greek Theater in Berkeley.
Interview clips with Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Graham, David Gans
and others. Early in this series they mention Ron "Pigpen" McKernan,
while the shot is actually Phil Lesh from the famous film by
Robert Nelson.

On a sad note, the KGO reports feature Bay Area broadcast giant
Pete Wilson, who passed away July 20th.
