Wow!
This show is JERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How else can I explain it?!

I would like to thank WVHEAD for this recommendation, many moons ago...

- Wednesday

One
Good Times ; Hell In A Bucket ; Lazy River Road ; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again ; Loser ; Broken Arrow ; Easy Answers
Two
Samson And Delilah ; Way To Go Home ; Wave To The Wind > Terrapin Station > Drums > Space > Dark Star > The Wheel > Good Lovin'
Encore Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds

Um, wow... did I say that already? LTGTR to start off in 93 is a good omen. The Bucket, well, Jerry shreds it! He is on all night. At moments it seems like he might be on, while everyone else is on somewhere else, but it is 93 after all!
The Lazy River Road is out-fucking-standing! Jerry! His heart is in it, he wins it!
Memphis Blues is a great follow up, no disappointments here besides those who hate the song to begin with, and, you can't please everyone.
The set really falls into the stellar category during Loser... Hello Greenfox! This is the last coming of the H-bomb. Next we have a great and rare (well, a late) Broken Arrow... it rips, despite Phil's terrible voice. I hope I don't see posts about how people love his voice because it is his, etc. It sucks... but, I would definitely love a Phil song. Why? No vocals for Jerry to worry about... just pure 6 string action. The set is rounded out by a standard Easy Answers.

The second set busts a Samson followed by Way to go Home, both of which rock... Jerry does it again. This is probably one of his best last stands... Not the best, but the whole show features a wide awake Jerome!
This greatness is followed by Wave to the Wind... well... I have never really like this song. While this version is energetic & well played, I would just rather not...

TERRAPIN

HOLY SHIT! Thanks again to WVHEAD... the man with the plan. Look... this and 9/29/93 basically define this song. 93 was definitely the year of the turtle. While this generally meant Jerry would occasionally peak his head out to see the haps, there were many, MANY, fine moments. This TS is definitely in my top 3, of which (3/15/90 and 9/29/93) I am not sure which is my all time favorite. 24 minutes when its all said and done, that, and one lobotomy!!! If I had a complaint about this TS, and show, its that the rest of the band had grown complacent by this point and were ill prepared to deal with Jerome. Its as though he is one another fucking planet whilst he rocks....

One man comes to play at a similar level...
Phil

DRUMS goes into SPACE

and... oh shizza... Space>Dark Star!... first of all, Jerry's work in the jam preceding is stellar blue. Hard core, to the hilt. Check it out to see what I mean. By the time they hit the star, you are in a daze. Its like never before, they really hit it full throttle.
You can't really argue with it... other than it is short (which I like). Short, yet focused in the jamming. Particularly, big surprise, Jerry is on fire!
The rest of the show does what it ought to do... with the Wheel into Good Lovin'!... and the LSD encore.

Set One Summary - J-rock is all over the place! Get this, he had definitely ate his Wheaties!

Set Two Summary - Are they as wasted as I am?

Overall - if for no other reason, get this for the Terrapin Station... It never quits... quite amazing! It's almost as though the power that be (were) made a compromise that night... wait, they probably did, as they always do. Anyhow, the music is out of this world, get it now!
Goodnight

Welcome aboard friend! This is such a great show, primarily for the BEST EVER Terrapin.

Cheese & Beer Very Happy

I was enjoying some Dill Farmers Cheese from Waterloo WI earlier...

I've got to get some headphones so I can listen to shows when everyone else want to watch TV.

This is a great Terrapin indeed.
Ellsworth, the county seat here, claims to be the cheese curd capital of Wisconsin.
This is a good Wisconsin picture, I was driving past a bar near where I work when I took it.
