That's April 15, 1970, for those overseas...

What's labeled "Drums> Jam" here is a jaw-dropping percussion exhibition that absolutely ROARS and NEEDS to be heard...

Cold Rain & Snow, China Cat Sunflower-> I Know You Rider, Mama Tried, It's A Man's World, Candyman, Hard To Handle, Cryptical Envelopment -> Drums -> Jam -> Drums -> The Other One -> Cryptical Envelopment -> Dire Wolf, Dancin' In The Streets, Turn On Your Lovelight -> Not Fade Away -> Turn On Your Lovelight

Right on. I have this show in my top 64 and the drums>Jam segment is ONE of the reasons. The jam is very high energy and I have never heard another one like it. The other highlight to me is the Lovelite>NFA>Lovelight. I am not a big fan of Lovelight but this is one of my favorites with the smooth segueway into NFA along with the ending (It gets to me when Pig says "Need a little help Bobby" and Bobby sure gives it to him)

I may be wrong but I think I remember that Miles Davis was on the bill for this show and run.

This Jam is wild....I played this a while ago on a late LP with Cheese, and I swear that is Santana percussion.....It sounds like Santana, and there are definately Congas goin on......Great pick S&R, and I love the melt into Dire Wolf after all that insanity....Top Notch Jamming, and I deemed it the Santana Jam....I remember reading on Deadlist I think that there was an "Unknown" Conga player or some shit....I dunno, this is killer though...

I listened to this show on Saturday in its entirety with a friend on his new, extremely powerful system...This recording is so much better than I assumed, and what a show to turn someone on to for the first time....That bomb Phil drops to jump start TOO is enough to crack a rib...Go ahead and do it, play this Cryptical sandwich at a very high volume. You will see exactly what I mean. What a show this is.... Very Happy Very Happy

Yeah, this is a GREAT show. All killer no filler. Have not listened to it in a while and do not recall that drums>Jam. I'm in the middle of listening to DP4 and am in a 1970 mode. This one may be next.

ReRe-Bump for TDIH. This is an incredible show......The percussion is very Santana-esque during the Jam ....Cryptical through Wolf is amongst the very best Jams out there. Man's World and Lovelight are classic, classic Pig Very Happy Very Happy Well, when I say Lovelight I mean Lovelight>NFA>Lovelight.......So in essence, this show is killer and if you still have not heard it, you need to Very Happy
