Nice thread! Wish I had a phat duuuuuuuubee to smoke right bout now.

Depends what kind of high (cough...are ya there Greenfox?) you are referring to....but:

If it's the au-naturale skunk buds, it don't get much better than:

4/7/84 Irvine Meadows: Playin-UJB

Dank!!!

for me it used to be 8/13/75 Help>Slipknot>Franklin's...

i remember years ago smoking after getting home from high school and trancing out on that one, especially the Slipknot. Wore out my One From the Vault. I had converted a workshop in my folks' barn into a little apartment @ the time...i recall that musical passage and some good bud taking me far, far away from that musty old barn...

i no longer get "high"...but after i complete the drug treatment program (Suboxone) i'm in for opiates...i may begin smoking again from time to time...perhaps, perhaps not...

Jim Carroll, author of Basketball Diaries, and another follow on, which I read, plus musician/poet... he got hooked on the H, but when he quit everything else, at the time of the 2nd book at least, he was still smoking.

He loved it... and it is a lot different after all. 5000+ years of use... no deaths.

Playin->Wheel->Playin 2-26-77 on some Lysergic seemed to do the trick back in the day.
As of right now I'm enjoying a fat Hindu bubbler and some 11-14-73 which never fails! Twisted Evil

Any Spanish Jam, but specifically 4/7/84 (thanks for turning me on to that gem years ago Swami!) I was blowing out a hit when it got to the 45 second mark and that was really the first time I remember falling in love with Brent era Dead.

A few bong rips and Raven Space will get me cracking up like I'm watching Blazing Saddels for the first time.

You know...the other day I did some mind traveling(guided by something hidden away at the veterinarian's office combined with something the dentist has that we all want Wink and couldn't decide to what to listen to(I Never have this problem on earth), so I just threw on gdradio...and listened to some 3/2/10 Furthur, call me crazy but it hit the spot BIG time!!! But I spent most of the time skimming through 45 second tid bits of selected favorite versions.

What kind of high are we talking about here?

[CENSORED] is about the only drug that I DON'T like listening to music on, well it's not that I don't like it, I just can't focus on it.

Pot & a little synthetic THC ( yes I tried it and it's alright at time, not always) are all I do anymore.. I just hit random play on my squeezebox at times, I'd say as long as it's not a holiday or kids tune that pops up immed, the odds are good the tune will hit the spot

oh boy if its the stuff I think your talking about (im just going to go ahead and say it, ketamine) thats some nice stuff to come by. My friends and I got a bag of bud mixed with ketamine at All Good last year. We didn't even know it had a diferent drug, we just thought it was some weird sparkling weed ( yes it sparkled when we smoked it, we went through the whole trip calling it fairy weed.) Made seeing Further out of this world, especially since I'm not a big fan of psychedelics.

And I'm the exact opposite, [CENSORED] makes completely zone in on the music. Without it I have a hard time being able to dissect the music the same way.

Crazy WEIRD stuff(there's speculation that it's what Charlie Sheen has been into), and mix in some laughing gas and the music actaully sounds reallly bad, but in an awesome way Smile

I really don't think I would have any interest in drugs if it weren't for music, like Phil said, 'Searching for the sound' Laughing

3/31/87 Philadelphia spectrum. From the first notes of Jack straw you can feel the energy of the band and the vibe of the crowd, and if you close your eyes you can listen to that show from start to finish and just trip the [CENSORED] out. I find it to be a truly amazing and cosmic experience.

The first tape I ever got 1973/02/15. I'm pretty sure my tape only had the following songs on it:
China->Rider
Here Comes Sunshine
They Love Each Other
Dark Star->
Eyes->
China Doll
Sugree
Sugar Magnolia
I remember going to the Old Red Mill in Jericho, Vt and sitting in the woods with my tape player and head phones smoking bowls all day. Wore this tape out!! Also and I know it's a Dead board but the 2nd disc to Phish A Live One..... two words Harry Hood.
